Grand Canyon National Park and Yuntaishan World Geopark in central China have many similarities, including formation of their main features in the same geologic time periods; deep canyons and gorges; and extraordinary geologic, cultural and natural resources.
In 2007, Grand Canyon National Park and Yuntaishan World Geopark signed a sister-park agreement, which will allow for the exchange of technical and professional knowledge, personnel, information, data, technology and training.
As a result of this sister-park relationship, the Grand Canyon Association is pleased to offer this Chinese handmade kite, an artistic interpretation of the golden eagle, a resident of the Grand Canyon. The fifty-five inch wingspan of these working kites are as expansive as those of the park's majestic eagles, and they make a wonderful memento of your trip to the Grand Canyon. Each kite comes with its own spool of string and a beautiful carrying case.
