Grand Canyon has served as a wellspring of inspiration for millions of individuals over the millennia. Artists and authors in particular have been alternately comforted and confounded by the complexities, confluences, and contradictions of the canyon’s many faces.
Perhaps no other creative has spent as much time in this pursuit as acclaimed fine artist and longtime canyon resident Bruce Aiken. In his thirty years gaining a greater understanding of the canyon, and sharing these impressions through a number of media, Bruce established himself as an expert on both the resource, and the various way of recording one’s impressions of it.
Through walks, talks, and individual art projects, Bruce will take participants on a remarkable three day journey into the soul of the Grand Canyon by way of the creative process. |
